PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a water bottom observation system capable of precisely generating water bottom surface data even when a water bottom region where the water depth is deep and the solar light does not reach is imaged or when the water is contaminated.SOLUTION: A water bottom observation system 1 comprises: a submersible 2; a pair of video cameras 3, 3 and a laser distance measuring device 4 mounted on the submersible; a GNSS/gyro device 5 which detects three-dimensional positions and attitudes of the pair of video cameras 3, 3 and the laser distance measuring device 4; photographic image data photographed by the pair of video cameras 3, 3; and a video recorder. The water bottom observation system is configured to generate complementary DSM data for complementing the DSM data on the basis of the DSM data, and water depth data and attitude data thereof measured by the laser distance measuring device 4 such that a regular projection photographic view can be generated, the DSM data being given geographic coordinates through image processing based upon respective position data and attitude data with respect to overlap ranges of a plurality of photographic images.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】水深が深く、太陽光線が届かない水底領域を撮像する場合や、水質が汚濁している場合などにおいても、精度よく、水底表面データを作成することができる水底観測システムを提供する。【解決手段】水底観測システム1は、潜水艇2と、潜水艇に搭載された一対のビデオカメラ3,3とレーザ測距装置4と、一対のビデオカメラ3,3およびレーザ測距装置4の三次元的な位置および姿勢を検出するGNSS/ジャイロ装置5と、一対のビデオカメラ3,3によって撮影された撮影画像データと、ビデオレコーダを備え、複数の撮影画像の重複範囲について、それぞれの位置データおよび姿勢データに基づく画像処理によって地理座標を付与されたDSMデータと、正射投影写真図を作成可能で、レーザ測距装置4によって計測された水深データとその姿勢データとに基づいてDSMデータを補完する補完用DSMデータを作成可能に構成されている。【選択図】図1
