PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To control a traffic light so as to avoid the occurrence of a collision accident at an intersection.SOLUTION: The positions, speeds, dimensions and moving directions of objects including vehicles and the traffic weak existing within an intersection and approaching the intersection are detected by using radar sensors 12A to 12D. The loci of all of the detected objects are calculated by using the information, and when it is determined that the possibility that objects collide against each other is high, switching of one or more traffic signals 16 is delayed to avoid the collision.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】交差点において、衝突事故の発生を回避させるように交通信号灯を制御する。【解決手段】交差点内に存在中及び、交差点に接近中の車両及び交通弱者を含むオブジェクトの位置、速度、寸法、及び移動方向をレーダセンサ12A−12Dを用いて検出する。この情報を利用して、検出した全てのオブジェクトの軌跡を算出し、オブジェクト同士が衝突する可能性が高いと判断した場合には、衝突を回避するために1つ又は複数の交通信号16の切り替わりを遅延する。【選択図】図1
