PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle charger capable of determining whether vehicle authentication is successfully completed before carrying out charging operation.SOLUTION: The electric vehicle charger includes: a vehicle registration unit 10 which receives a vehicle registration operation made by a user and stores a piece of identification information of the vehicle; an identification information reader unit 12 which has a camera 13 for automatically picking up an image of a vehicle ready to be charged and reads the identification information of the vehicle from the image taken by the camera 13; and an identification information collation unit 15 which collates the identification information of the vehicle read by the identification information reader unit 12 and the identification information of the vehicle stored in the vehicle registration unit 10, and when both pieces of identification information coincide with each other, emits a permission display and permits charging to the vehicle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
