PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide, when introducing automatic operation to an existing passenger conveyor, a method for performing trial calculation of energy-saving effect before introducing.SOLUTION: A passenger detection sensor for detecting a passenger getting on a passenger conveyor is arranged at an entrance of the passenger conveyor where automatic operation is not introduced. Either one of time when no passenger gets on the passenger conveyor or a numeric value calculated from the time when no passenger gets on the passenger conveyor is output.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
