PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a guide rail measurement device and a guide rail measurement method capable of accurately measuring a guide rail interval.SOLUTION: One of automatic measurement trucks is a measurement master unit 2a, and the automatic measurement trucks other than the measurement master unit 2a are measurement slave units 2b to 2d for receiving an initial command from the measurement master unit 2a to follow the measurement master unit 2a. The measurement master unit 2a includes: a guide part 25 for guiding the measurement slave units 2b to 2d; and a first distance meter 26 for measuring intervals between the measurement master unit 2a and the measurement slave units 2b to 2d. The measurement slave units 2b to 2d include: a first displacement sensor 31 for detecting a difference in height between the measurement master unit 2a on guide rails 1a to 1d on which the measurement master unit 2a is installed and the measurement slave units 2b to 2d on guide rails 1b to 1d on which the measurement slave units 2b to 2d are installed; and a slave unit signal processing part 58 for controlling a speed so that the difference can be 0 based on the guiding of the guide part 25.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
