PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a reaction force output device that can suppress friction torque in a period of time during which output of reaction force is not instructed.SOLUTION: The reaction force output device comprises: a driving portion that drives a driving member; and a control portion that when an input value is not zero, controls energization to the driving portion so that the driving member outputs to an operator to be operated by a person force in the opposite direction of an operation direction of the operator, and when the input value is zero or the input value is not inputted, controls the energization to the driving portion so that the driving member outputs force in the same direction as the operation direction of the operator.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
