PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a hybrid vehicle and a control method therefor such that while regeneration efficiency in a high speed travel is improved as compared with the conventional art, a fuel consumption is reduced without stopping a steering assist in an auto-cruising mode and when a speed is reduced during an inertial travel, a regeneration chance of a motor generator is increased to improve fuel economy.SOLUTION: A hybrid vehicle comprises a speed reduction mechanism 30 which connects a propeller shaft 25 to a rotary shaft 32 of a motor generator 33 and a driving shaft 46 of a second power steering pump 45 respectively, and a switching device which switches a supply source for a power steering fluid 51 from a first power steering pump 40 to the second power steering pump 45, and a controller 80 is configured to perform control to additionally place a regeneration brake, an engine brake, an auxiliary brake, and a foot brake 122 successively in operation each time a vehicle speed V exceeds an upper-limit speed during speed reduction in an inertial travel.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】従来よりも高速走行時における回生効率を向上しつつ、オートクルーズモードにおける操舵アシストを停止することなく燃料消費量を削減し、さらに、惰性走行中に減速する場合には、モータージェネレーターの回生機会を増加して燃費を向上するハイブリッド車両及びその制御方法を提供する。【解決手段】プロペラシャフト25をモータージェネレーター33の回転軸32及び第2パワステポンプ45の駆動軸46のそれぞれに接続する減速機構30と、パワステフルード51の供給源を第1パワステポンプ40から第2パワステポンプ45に切り換える切換装置とを備え、制御装置80を、惰性走行中の減速するときには、車速Vが上限速度vbを超えるごとに、回生ブレーキ、エンジンブレーキ、補助ブレーキ、及びフットブレーキ122を順次、付加的に作動させる制御を行う構成にした。【選択図】図1
