PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an automatic transmission including both of a continuously variable transmission mechanism and a shift gear mechanism, and capable of improving fuel consumption by suppressing degradation of transmission efficiency regardless of a vehicle speed and being miniaturized.SOLUTION: An automatic transmission includes: a continuously variable transmission mechanism 40; a first reverse rotation mechanism 61 disposed between a first shaft AX1 and a third shaft AX3; a ring gear R1 and a carrier CR2 disposed on a second shaft AX2, and capable of inputting rotations of input shafts 30, 31; sun gears S1, S2 drive-connected to a secondary pulley 42; a planetary set DP having a carrier CR1 and a ring gear R2 drive-connected to an output shaft 70 and capable of changing a speed of rotation of the output shaft 70; a first clutch C1 capable of achieving a low-speed mode; a second clutch C2 capable of achieving a high-speed mode; a second reverse rotation mechanism 62 disposed between the first shaft AX1 and the second shaft AX2; and a third reverse rotation mechanism 63 disposed between the first shaft AX1 and the second shaft AX2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
