PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a confirmation device for door-closing impossible state of an elevator device and a method for confirmation of door-closing impossible state by which efficient service can be provided for a user.SOLUTION: A confirmation device for door-closing impossible state of an elevator device 1 sets door-opening stand-by state such that a door 9 is opened and a cage 3 holds stand-by when door-closing impossible state is detected by a detector 15B, and confirms door-closing impossible state. The confirmation device comprises: a diagnosis processing unit 15D2 which, after setting door-opening stand-by state, closes the door 9 and executes a re-try processing for detecting again door-closing impossible state by the detector 15B thereby diagnosing door-closing impossible state; and a release part 15D3 which, when door-closing impossible state is not detected by the detector 15B, releases setting of door-opening stand-by state in such a manner that diagnosis of door-closing impossible state is executed by the diagnosis processing unit 15D2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
