PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To simplify and downsize a structure of an electric assist bicycle drive unit with a speed reduction mechanism.SOLUTION: There is provided an electric assist bicycle drive unit, including: a crank shaft 2 accommodated in a casing 1, and to which threading force is inputted; a motor 3 for outputting driving force; a threading force transmission mechanism 40 to which rotations of the crank shaft 2 are transmitted; a resultant force output unit 5 for summing rotations of the threading force transmission mechanism 40 and output of the motor 3 and transmitting the same to a driving wheel 52; and a speed reduction mechanism 20 provided between the motor 3 and the resultant force output unit 5. In the drive unit, the speed reduction mechanism 20 is a roller speed reducing machine including, in a motor input member 11 to be rotated by the output of the motor 3, one bearing ring 12, and the other bearing ring 13 opposing to the one bearing ring 12, and including a driving force transmission member 31 disposing a plurality of planetary members 21 along the circumferential direction between the one bearing ring 12 and the other bearing ring 13, holding the same by a carrier 22 to transmit the rotations of the carrier 22 following revolutions of each planetary member 21 to the resultant force output unit 5.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】減速機構を備えた電動補助自転車用駆動ユニットの構造を簡素化し小型化する。【解決手段】ケーシング1内に収容され、踏力が入力されるクランク軸2と、駆動力を出力するモータ3と、クランク軸2の回転が伝達される踏力伝達機構40と、踏力伝達機構40の回転とモータ3の出力を合算し駆動輪52に伝達する合力出力部5と、モータ3と合力出力部5との間に設けられる減速機構20とを備えた電動補助自転車用駆動ユニットにおいて、減速機構20は、モータ3の出力によって回転するモータ入力部材11に一方の軌道輪12を備え、一方の軌道輪12に対向して他方の軌道輪13を備え、一方の軌道輪12と他方の軌道輪13の間に周方向に沿って複数の遊星部材21を配置してキャリア22で保持して各遊星部材21の公転に伴うキャリア22の回転を合力出力部5に導く駆動力伝達部材31を備えたローラ減速機である構成とした。【選択図】図1
