PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric steering lock device that can have a power source made compact.SOLUTION: If catching is caused in unlock driving, an engagement part 5 of a lock lever 3 is stopped from retracting. At this time, a spring 9 extends as a motion member 4 moves and then a moving part 6 separates from the engagement part 5. Namely, in this case, only the moving part 6 of the lock lever 3 can move together with the motion member 4. Consequently, a motor driving part 2 is enabled to operate up to an unlock determination position in a stationary time with a stationary current.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】動力源の小型化を可能にした電動ステアリングロック装置を提供すること。【解決手段】アンロック駆動時に引っかかりが発生した場合には、ロックバー3のうち係合部5の退避が阻まれることになる。このとき、運動部材4の移動に伴ってばね9が伸びることにより移動部6が係合部5から分離する。つまり、この場合、ロックバー3のうち移動部6のみが運動部材4と共に移動可能である。これにより、モータ駆動部2は、アンロック確定位置まで定常電流及び定常時間で動作可能となる。【選択図】図3
