PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an autonomous flying moving body and a target tracking method which can track a target even in a situation where overlooking is impossible.SOLUTION: An autonomous flying moving body capable of autonomously flying includes: an imaging section 105; a flight control section which recognizes a target on the basis of a first image indicating the predetermined target and a second image captured by the imaging section, so as to track the target while flying and maintaining a predetermined distance between itself and the recognized target; and a searching section which, when the flight control section cannot recognize the target, searches a route in the vicinity of a position where the target cannot be recognized on the basis of map information. The flight control section continues the tracking of the target on the basis of the route searched by the searching section.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
