PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a planar heating element capable of preventing fogging due to rain, freezing, and the like, removing the fogging when the fogging is generated, and securing stable field vision.SOLUTION: There is disclosed a planar heating element 10 which includes: a resin-made substrate; heat rays 12a, 12b which are an aggregation of a basic cell 12 formed on the substrate; a connection line 13 which connects basic cells to each other; and a power feeding line 14 connected to the heat ray. The basic cell constituting the heat ray is constituted by the line, formed in a closed shape, and has a contact point 12c connected to the connection line or an electric wire at two places of positions opposite to each other with respect to the graphic center of the basic cell. In the aggregation of the basic cell, series of basic cells are connected to each other via the connection line connected to the contact point, and both terminals are composed of a connection group of basic cells connected to the power feeding line or composed of the connection group of aggregation of a plurality of basic cells.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
