PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mounting structure for a shift knob suitable for suppression of looseness of the shift knob with respect to a lever shaft.SOLUTION: A mounting structure for a shift knob comprises: a lever shaft; an adapter 16 fixed to an upper end portion of the lever shaft; and a shift knob 18 formed with an insertion hole into which the adapter 16 is inserted. By the adapter 16 being formed with an elastic claw and the shift knob 18 being engaged with the elastic claw from one side in an axial direction of the lever shaft, an engaged portion regulating falling-off of the adapter 16 from the insertion hole is formed, and any one of the adapter 16 and the shift knob 18 has a biasing portion biasing the adapter 16 and the shift knob 18 such that the elastic claw is pressed in the axial direction of the lever shaft against the engaged portion.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
