PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle power conversion device that is lower in cost than a case in which the temperatures of all switching elements are monitored by analog monitor IC and all the switching elements can accurately be monitored all the time.SOLUTION: Voltage signals from temperature sensing diodes 12a-1 to 12a-3 incorporated in each switching element of a step-up converter are supplied to a multiplexer 12b-1 of an FCDC-ECU12b. The FCDC-ECU12b has an analog monitor system and a digital monitor system, monitors whether one of the voltage signals, to be analog monitored, has a critical temperature or higher, and limits operation of the step-up converter if it has the critical temperature or higher. This FCDC-ECU monitors whether another one of the voltage signals, to be digital monitored, has a threshold temperature (the critical temperature>the threshold temperature) or higher. If the voltage signal has the threshold temperature or higher, it is used to be newly analog monitored.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】全てのスイッチング素子の温度をアナログ監視ICで監視する場合と比較して低コストであり、かつ、全てのスイッチング素子を常時正確に監視し得る車両用電力変換装置を提供する。【解決手段】昇圧コンバータのスイッチング素子毎に内蔵される温度センスダイオード12a−1〜12a−3からの電圧信号はFCDC−ECU12bのマルチプレクサ12b−1に供給される。FCDC−ECU12bは、アナログ監視系とデジタル監視系を有し、電圧信号のいずれかをアナログ監視の対象として臨界温度以上か否かを監視し、臨界温度以上の場合に昇圧コンバータの動作を制限する。他の電圧信号をデジタル監視の対象として閾温度(臨界温度>閾温度)以上か否かを監視し、閾温度以上の場合に新たにアナログ監視の対象としてする。【選択図】図4
