PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a power transmission device that is able to achieve both detection of foreign matter on the power transmission device and detection of ingress of foreign matter present around the power transmission device, on the basis of an image photographed by a camera.SOLUTION: From an image photographed by an infrared camera 210, a control device 260 determines whether light emitted by a light source 230 is intercepted by a foreign matter or not, thereby detecting a foreign matter on a power transmission device 200. Additionally, from an image photographed by the infrared camera 210 while light is emitted from the light source 220, the control device 260 detects foreign matter present around the power transmission device 200.
