PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric vehicle drive device which comprises a speed changer mechanism, and can reduce an unsprung weight of an electric vehicle.SOLUTION: An electric vehicle drive device comprises: a first motor 11; a second motor 12; and a speed changer mechanism capable of switching reduction gear ratio. The speed changer mechanism comprises: a first sun gear 21 that is rotated with a sun gear shaft 14 coupled with the first motor; a first pinion gear engaged with the first sun gear; and a fist ring gear 24 that is engaged wit the first pinion gear and is coupled with the second motor. The first motor includes a first rotor holding member 70 that couples a first rotor core 113 arranged on a radial direction inner side of a first stator core 111 with the sun gear shaft. The first rotor holding member includes: a first outer side member contacting the first rotor core; and a first inner side member contacting the sun gear shaft. A material of the first outer side member is a first metal, and the material of the first inner side member is a second metal having a specific gravity larger than that of the first metal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】変速機構を備え且つ電動車両のばね下重量を低減できる電動車両駆動装置を提供すること。【解決手段】電動車両駆動装置は、第1モータ11と、第2モータ12と、減速比を切り替えることができる変速機構とを備える。変速機構は、第1モータに連結されるサンギアシャフト14と共に回転する第1サンギア21と、第1サンギアと噛み合う第1ピニオンギアと、第1ピニオンギアと噛み合い且つ第2モータに連結される第1リングギア24とを備える。第1モータは、第1ステータコア111の径方向内側に配置された第1ロータコア113とサンギアシャフトとを連結する第1ロータ保持部材70を備える。第1ロータ保持部材は、第1ロータコアに接する第1外側部材と、サンギアシャフトに接する第1内側部材と、を備える。第1外側部材の材料は第1金属であって、第1内側部材の材料は第1金属の比重よりも大きな比重を有する第2金属である。【選択図】図5
