PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a pyro-actuator assuring both heat resistance property and pressure resistance at a combustion chamber and assuring easiness in assembly of a vehicle safety device to a module.SOLUTION: This invention relates to an igniter [2] including an ignition part [6] having a cylindrical case [3] with both opened ends, a resistor element and igniter; several electro-conduction terminal pins [8] connected to the resistor element; and a barrel part [7] including an embolus [9] for holding the terminal pins, the ignition part [6] is positioned at an inner surface of a cylindrical part of the case [3], the barrel part [7] has the igniter [2] arranged while one opening part of the case [3] being closed; a piston [4] inserted into the case and movable in an axial direction within the case; and a resin housing [5] covering the barrel part [7] of the igniter and an outer wall part of the case [3] and covering another opening side of the case [3] in such a way that its diameter is reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
