PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a brake device improving stability of application of breaking force when the running condition of a vehicle cannot be calculated.SOLUTION: A parking brake control device 20 includes a running condition detecting part calculating a running condition of whether a vehicle is in a running condition or in a stop condition. The parking brake control device 20 propels a piston 39 by gradually increasing thrust of an electric motor 43B while propelling the piston, when continuously detecting an apply request signal propelling the piston 39 for a first predetermined period of time in a condition where the running condition of the vehicle cannot be detected by the running condition detecting part, gradually increases the thrust of the electric motor 43B until reaching a target thrust F1 even when the apply request signal is not detected, and holds the thrust of the piston 39 by a male screw 41A of a screw member 41 and a female screw 42A of a direct-acting member 42 when reaching the target thrust F1.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】車両の走行状態を算出できない場合の制動力の付与の安定性を向上することができるブレーキ装置を提供する。【解決手段】駐車ブレーキ制御装置20は、車両が走行中または停止中であるかの走行状態を算出する走行状態検出部を有している。駐車ブレーキ制御装置20は、車両の走行状態が走行状態検出部により検出できない状態において、ピストン39を推進するアプライ要求信号を第1の所定時間継続して検出したとき、該ピストンの推進中に電動モータ43Bの推力を段階的に上昇させてピストン39を推進し、アプライ要求信号が検出されなくなっても、目標推力F1に到達するまで電動モータ43Bの推力を段階的に上昇させ、目標推力F1に到達したときにねじ部材41の雄ねじ41Aと直動部材42の雌ねじ42Aとによりピストン39の推力を保持する。【選択図】図4
