PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve the joint efficiency of a weld part, to achieve the shortening of a weld line length and the thinning of a thickness of the weld part, and to improve resistance against a tensile load from a tow hook, in a bumper stay to which a flank part and a flange part at a vehicle body side are welded.SOLUTION: A bumper stay 21 is composed of a cylindrical flank part 22, a vehicle-body side flange part 23 welded to one end of the flank part 22, and a bumper attachment flange part 24 welded to the other end of the flank part 22, and these components are formed of aluminum extrusion materials. The vehicle-body side flange part 23 has an erecting part 29 whose spread in a space becomes small as approximating a tip at the flank part 22 side, and the flank part 22 has a flare part 27 whose spread in a space becomes large as approximating a tip at the vehicle-body side flange part 23 side. An inner face side of the erecting part 29 and an outer face side of the flare part 27 abut on each other, and the erecting part 29 of the vehicle-body side flange part 23 is welded to the flank part 22.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】胴体部と車体側フランジ部が溶接されたバンパーステイにおいて、溶接部の継ぎ手効率を向上させ、溶接線長の短縮及び溶接部の薄肉化を可能とするとともに、牽引フックからの引張荷重に対する耐性を向上させる。【解決手段】バンパーステイ21は、筒状の胴体部22と、胴体部22の一端に溶接された車体側フランジ部23と、胴体部22の他端に溶接されたバンパー取付用フランジ部24からなり、前記各部がいずれもアルミニウム製押出材からなる。車体側フランジ部23は、胴体部22側に先端に近いほど空間内での広がりが小さくなる立ち上がり部29を有し、胴体部22は、車体側フランジ部23側に先端に近いほど空間内での広がりが大きくなるフレア部27を有し、立ち上がり部29の内面側とフレア部27の外面側が突き当てられ、車体側フランジ部23の立ち上がり部29が胴体部22に溶接されている。【選択図】図1
