PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a damage detection system for a railway vehicle hollow axle, capable of accurately detecting damages generated in the hollow axle.SOLUTION: This damage detection system for the railway vehicle hollow axle includes: a through-hole that penetrates the shaft body of a hollow axle in a longitudinal direction; first and second partition walls that seal the vicinity of both ends of the through-hole; an atmospheric pressure adjusting valve that adjusts pressure in a space between the partition walls; and a sensor that measures the atmospheric pressure change and the temperature of the space provided to the atmospheric pressure adjusting valve, and is characterized in that the first and second partition walls are provided to an inner position advanced from the end of the shaft body to a wheel seat side, the sensor is provided to the first partition wall, and an auxiliary partition wall is provided to an outer position so as to seal the sensor in the through-hole.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】 中空車軸に発生した損傷を精度よく検出できる鉄道車両用中空車軸の損傷検出システムを提供する。【解決手段】 鉄道車両用中空車軸の損傷検出システムである。中空車軸の軸体を長手方向に貫通する貫通穴と、貫通穴の両端部近傍を封止する第1及び第2の隔壁と、隔壁の間の空間の気圧を調整する気圧調整バルブと、気圧調整バルブに設けられて空間の気圧変化、及び温度を計測するセンサと、を含み、第1及び第2の隔壁は軸体の端部から車輪座側に進んだ内側位置に設けられ、第1の隔壁にセンサが与えられているとともにこれを貫通穴内に封止するように外側位置に補助隔壁が与えられていることを特徴とする。【選択図】 図2
