PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a front suspension structure of an automobile which makes the improvement of supporting stiffness of a wheel and road surface followability compatible, and makes driving stability, ride comfort, and quietness to road noise compatible.SOLUTION: Both of upper and lower arms 2, 3 of a front suspension structure 1 of a double wishbone type automobile are journaled on frore-and-aft sides on a vehicle body side. Axes L1, L2 of elastic bushes 25f, r, 35f, r provided on journal portions 21f, r, 31f, r on the fore-and-aft sides extend in a fore-and-aft direction. A knuckle side pivot portion 22 of the upper arm 2 is provided behind a knuckle side pivot portion 32 on the lower arm 3 side. A shock absorber 5 provided between the vehicle body and the lower arm 3 is coupled to the lower arm 3 at a lower end portion 54 of the shock absorber 5 so as to be orthogonal to the axis L2 of the lower arm 3 in a side view, and an upper end portion 53 of the shock absorber 5 is journaled by a rotary axis L3 extending in the fore-and-aft direction on the vehicle body.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】車輪の支持剛性向上と路面追従性の両立を図り、操安性、乗り心地及びロードノイズに対する静粛性を両立する自動車のフロントサスペンション構造を提供する。【解決手段】ダブルウィッシュボーン式の自動車のフロントサスペンション構造1の上下両アーム2,3が、車体側に前後各側で軸支され、その前後各側の軸支部21f,r,31f,rに設けられた弾性ブッシュ25f,r,35f,rの軸線L1,L2が、前後方向に延びており、アッパアーム2のナックル側枢支部22がロアアーム3側のナックル側枢支部32よりも後方に設けられ、車体とロアアーム3との間に備えた緩衝装置5は、側面視でロアアーム3の前記軸線L2に対し直交するように該緩衝装置5の下端部54が該ロアアーム3に連結されると共に、該緩衝装置5の上端部53が車体に前後方向に延びる回転軸L3で軸支された。【選択図】図2
