PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a yaw damper device for a railway vehicle capable of reducing a lateral pressure applied to vehicle wheels when the railway vehicle travels in a transition curve section of a curved railroad.SOLUTION: A yaw damper device 100 of the invention comprises: a pair of yaw dampers 1 (a first yaw damper 1a with a greater damper coefficient, and a second yaw damper 1b with a smaller damper coefficient) attached to each of right and left sides of a railway vehicle between a vehicle body 3 and each of carriages 4 in a pair; controlling means 2 for controlling switching between enabling/disabling damping force of the yaw damper. When the railway vehicle travels in an entrance side transition curve section, the control means disables the damping force of the first yaw damper and enables the damping force of the second yaw damper, both attached to a front side carriage, while enabling the damping force of the first yaw damper and disabling the damping force of the second yaw damper, both attached to a rear side carriage. When the railway vehicle travels in an exit side transition curve section, the control means reverses a pattern of enabling/disabling the damping force with respect to the above-described pattern.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】鉄道車両が曲線軌道の緩和曲線区間を走行する際に車輪に生じる横圧を低減可能な鉄道車両用ヨーダンパ装置を提供する。【解決手段】本発明に係るヨーダンパ装置100は、車体3と1対の台車4のそれぞれとの間において、鉄道車両の左右にそれぞれ1対ずつ取り付けられたヨーダンパ1(減衰係数の大きな第1ヨーダンパ1a、減衰係数の小さな第2ヨーダンパ1b)と、ヨーダンパの減衰力の有効/無効を切り替え制御する制御手段2とを備える。制御手段は、鉄道車両が入口側緩和曲線区間を走行する際には、前側の台車の第1ヨーダンパの減衰力を無効にすると共に第2ヨーダンパの減衰力を有効にする一方、後側の台車の第1ヨーダンパの減衰力を有効にすると共に第2ヨーダンパの減衰力を無効にする。鉄道車両が出口側緩和曲線区間を走行する際には、減衰力の有効/無効を上記のパターンと反転させる。【選択図】 図1
