PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To effectively move the upper body of an occupant to inside in a vehicle width direction at a side collision.SOLUTION: In a vehicular occupant restraint device 10, an inside airbag 52 arranged inside in a vehicle width direction of an outer side frame 30 in a side part 20A outside in the vehicle width direction of a seat back 20 inflates and expands in the side part 20A earlier and with higher pressure than a side airbag 36, and presses an occupant P toward inside in the vehicle width direction. The inside airbag 52 is configured to inflate and expand toward a region closer to an upper side of a vehicle than a second rib R5 from the bottom of six ribs provided in a trunk of an AM 50-type world side impact dummy P1 seated on a vehicular seat 18. This allows inner pressure of the inside airbag 52 to be set high in accordance with a shoulder blade having relatively higher tolerance values and the periphery thereof in the body of the occupant P.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】側面衝突時に乗員の上半身を効果的に車幅方向内側へ移動させる。【解決手段】車両用乗員拘束装置10では、シートバック20の車幅方向外側の側部20A内で外サイドフレーム30の車幅方向内側に配設されたインサイドエアバッグ52が、サイドエアバッグ36よりも早期かつ高圧に側部20A内で膨張展開し、乗員Pを車幅方向内側へ押圧する。このインサイドエアバッグ52は、車両用シート18に着座したAM50型の国際統一側面衝突ダミーP1の胴体に設けられた6つのリブのうち下から2番目のリブR5よりも車両上方側の領域に膨張展開するように構成されている。これにより、乗員Pの身体において相対的に耐性値が高い肩甲骨及びその周辺部に合わせて、インサイドエアバッグ52の内圧を高く設定することが可能になる。【選択図】図1
