PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To measure minute measurement objects situated over a wide range.SOLUTION: A range finder 1 includes: a plurality of wave projectors 40-kx for projecting measurement waves to different angular ranges; one wave receiver 50-k configured to be able to receive reflection waves obtained by a measurement object reflecting the measurement waves projected by the wave projectors 40-kx; and a controller 10 that, regarding each of the wave projectors 40-kx, generates a transmission signal, controls the wave projector 40-kx to project a measurement wave based on the transmission signal, obtains a reception signal based on the reflection wave from the wave receiver 50-k, and calculates distance from the measurement object on the basis of the transmission signal and the reception signal.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
