PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve practicality of an electric brake actuator having a parking brake function.SOLUTION: An electric brake actuator comprises: (a) a flange 70 which rotates in conjunction with advance and retreat operation of a piston for pressing a brake pad to a disc rotor, and in which teeth 92 are formed at an external periphery; (b) a locking rod 98 in which a claw 104 which can be engaged with the teeth is formed at a leading end; and (c) a piston retreat prohibition mechanism 90 which has a locking rod moving mechanism 96 for moving the locking rod in an axial line direction of the locking rod between a position in which the claw and the teeth can be engaged with each other, and a position in which the claw and the teeth cannot be engaged with each other, and in which the locking rod prohibits retreat of the piston by locking the flange in a state that the claw is engaged with the teeth. A locking rod inclination mechanism 110 for inclining the locking rod in order to transit the locking rod to a state that the claw is not engaged with the teeth from a state that the claw is engaged with the teeth without depending on the locking rod moving mechanism is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
