PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a load detection sensor superior in durability, and a load detection sensor unit.SOLUTION: A load detection sensor 5 comprises: a pressure sensitive sheet 50 having first and second insulative sheets which are opposed to each other, a spacer disposed between the first and second insulative sheets and a pressure sensitive element; a chip type electronic component 80 provided on an exposed portion EP1 of a face of the first insulative sheet on a side opposed to the spacer, which is exposed from the spacer and the second insulative sheet, and electrically connected with the pressure sensitive element; a first protective resin 18A provided on the exposed portion EP1, and at least partially covering the side of the chip type electronic component 80; and a second protective resin 18B covering the chip type electronic component 80 and the first protective resin 18A, and covering at least a part of the exposed portion EP1, and at least a part of a face of the second insulative sheet, which is on a side opposite to a face on a side opposed to the spacer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
