PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a swing arm which is lightweight in comparison with conventional swing arms that have a reinforcement wall traversing the internal space of a body, and which can ensure the rigidity of the swing arm.SOLUTION: A swing arm 8 includes: a hollow body 52 that has a pivot hole 51 where a pivot shaft 25 is disposed; a suspension fastening part 53 provided at the body 52 and connected to one end of a rear suspension unit 35; and a pair of arms 56 extending from the body 52 and supporting respective ends of axles 55 of rear wheels 7. The arm 56 includes: an external member 61 that has an opened cross-section; and an internal member 62 that has a closed cross-section. The external member 61 and the internal member 62 are joined at respective free ends 63, 64. The body 52 includes: a first opening part 81 joined to a front edge 61a of the external member 61; a second opening part 82 joined to an external side surface 66 of the internal member 62; and a reinforcement pillar 83 which divides the first opening part 81 and the second opening part 82 from each other, and which is joined to a front edge 62a of the internal member 62.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】ボディの内部空間を横断する補強壁を有する従来のスイングアームに比べて軽量であり、かつスイングアームの剛性を確保可能なスイングアームを提案する。【解決手段】スイングアーム8は、ピボット軸25が配置されるピボット孔51を有する中空のボディ52と、ボディ52に設けられてリアサスペンションユニット35の一方の端部に接続されるサスペンション固定部53と、ボディ52から延びて後輪7の車軸55のそれぞれの端部を支持する一対のアーム56と、を備えている。アーム56は、開断面を有する外側部材61と、開断面を有する内側部材62と、を備えている。外側部材61と内側部材62とは、ぞれぞれの開放端部63、64で接合されている。ボディ52は、外側部材61の前縁部61aに接合される第一開口部81と、内側部材62の外側面66に接合される第二開口部82と、第一開口部81と第二開口部82とを区分し、かつ内側部材62の前縁部62aに接合される補強柱83と、を有している。【選択図】 図4
