PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically driven power steering, which is reduced in weight and improved in a detection accuracy of a torque sensor.SOLUTION: An electrically driven power steering device 100 includes an intermediate shaft 14 for transmitting a steering torque to an input shaft 15. The input shaft 15 and the intermediate shaft 14 are connected in a state that the mutual rotation axes are crossing each other via a universal joint 80a. A housing 50 is formed with a rib 56 and a window 53 in which rigidity of the housing 50 in a first direction D1 orthogonal to the rotational center axis of the input shaft 15 and the rotation center axis of the intermediate shaft 14 is increased as compared with the rigidity of the housing 50 in a second direction D2 orthogonal to the first direction D1 and the rotation center axis of the input shaft 15.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
