PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain a structure of a composite worm wheel which can prevent the exfoliation of a hub and a gear part while suppressing an increase of a processing cost and weight.SOLUTION: A worm wheel 4b is constituted of a circular ring-shaped hub 11a, and a resin-made gear part 12a which covers a radial outer end of the hub 11a. Out of a pair of shoulder parts 19a, 19b existing at both ends of an external peripheral face of the hub 11a in an axial direction, a first groove part 20a is formed at one shoulder part 19a which is located at a side opposite to an action direction of a component force (F) in the axial direction of an engagement reaction force which acts on the gear part 12a when rotationally driving the worm wheel 4b to a prescribed direction. A bottom face 21a of the first groove part 20 is made to exist on a virtual conical cylindrical face with a virtual line L1 orthogonal to an action direction of a resultant force (F) in the axial direction and the radial direction out of the engagement reaction force as a busbar, and also with a center axis of the hub 11a as a center axis of the cylindrical face.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3

    【課題】加工コスト及び重量の増加を抑制しつつ、ハブとギヤ部との分離防止を図れる、複合型のウォームホイールの構造を実現する。【解決手段】ウォームホイール4bを、円輪状のハブ11aと、このハブ11aの径方向外端部を覆った合成樹脂製のギヤ部12aとから構成する。該ハブ11aの外周面の軸方向両端部に存在する1対の肩部19a、19bのうち、ウォームホイール4bを所定方向に回転駆動する際にギヤ部12aに作用する噛み合い反力の軸方向の分力(F1x)の作用方向とは反対側に位置する一方の肩部19aに、第一の溝部20aを形成する。又、第一の溝部20の底面21aを、前記噛み合い反力のうち、軸方向及び径方向の分力の合力(F1xy)の作用方向に対し直交する仮想線L1を母線とし、且つ、ハブ11aの中心軸をその中心軸とする仮想円すい筒面上に存在させる。【選択図】図3
