PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a vehicle running control device which can continue automatic steering operation even if the lane information is lost in front of an expressway tollgate or the like, and can reduce the impact on the driver and the effect on the traffic flow.SOLUTION: The vehicle running control device includes a peripheral recognition function recognizing a lane section dividing line, other vehicles 2 to 4 on each lane and the front of its own vehicle 1, the absolute position of a vehicle, an environment condition estimating unit which acquires an environment condition of its own vehicle based on the information of an internal sensor, and a speed control and a steering control which cause the vehicle to follow the information acquired by the environment condition estimating unit, and to perform the speed control and the steering control on the basis of the information acquired by the environment condition estimating unit. The environmental state estimation unit includes a function of recognizing a tollgate 6 in front of the vehicle and each of the gates 6a to 6e, and a function of selecting a target gate 6b from each of the gates, and a route generation unit includes a function of generating a target approach route 5x-6bx for entering the target gates.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5

    【課題】高速道路料金所手前などで車線情報を逸失した場合でも、自動操舵運転を継続でき、運転者への負担や交通流への影響を低減できる車両の走行制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】車両の走行制御装置は、外界センサの情報から車線区分線と各車線上の他車2〜4および自車1前方を認識する周囲認識機能、自車の絶対位置を推定し、内界センサの情報に基づいて自車の運動状態を取得する環境状態推定部と、環境状態推定部に取得される情報に基づいて目標経路を生成する経路生成部と、目標経路に自車を追従させるべく速度制御および操舵制御を行う車両制御部と、を備える。環境状態推定部は、自車前方の料金所6とその各ゲート6a〜6eを認識する機能および各ゲートから目標ゲート6bを選定する機能を含み、経路生成部は、目標ゲートに進入するための目標進入経路5x−6bxを生成する機能を含む。【選択図】図5
