PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a torque sensor in which the thicknesses of a magnetism detection element and a material for mounting the magnetism detection element do not affect the sensitivity of detecting a magnetic flux.SOLUTION: Provided is a torque sensor comprising: a multipolar magnet unit 11 that rotates together with a steering shaft 20; a magnetic yoke unit 12 that rotates together with a column shaft 21 connected to the steering shaft 20 via a torsion bar 22 and is arranged in a magnetic field of the multipolar magnet unit 11; a pair of magnetism collecting plates 13, 14 equipped with one set of magnetism collecting bodies 13a, 14a collecting the magnetic lines of force of a pair of magnetic yokes 120, 121 of the magnetic yoke unit 12, respectively, and a pair of magnetism collecting protrusions 13b, 14b extending from each of the one set of magnetism collecting bodies 13a, 14a in the axial direction of the steering shaft 20 and forming a space; and a magnetism detection unit 10, with the normal of a detection surface assumed as the radial direction of the steering shaft 20, arranged in the space of the pair of magnetism collecting protrusions 13b, 14b, for detecting a magnetic flux in the space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
