PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a seabed projection identification device capable of identifying whether a seabed projection is an underwater sailing body.SOLUTION: A seabed projection identification device 100 is mounted on a vessel on the sea, and provided with: a calculation unit 101 that calculates horizontal distances to the vessel at a place from which a sounding bullet is shot and a seabed projection, where an echo sound from the seabed projection in response to a shock wave generated when the sounding bullet shot from the vessel explodes in water, is received later by a prescribed time than a direct sound generated when the sounding bullet explodes; a reception unit 102 that receives the echo sound caused by the explosion of the sounding bullet shot to the place at the calculated distance; and an identification unit 103 that identifies the kind of the seabed projection through frequency analysis of the received echo sound.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 11
