PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To reduce the possibility that knocking may occur, and suppress deterioration of cooling performance.SOLUTION: An engine ECU is configured to, when knocking of an engine 12 is detected with an air conditioner switch 68 turned on, stop an air conditioner 72, and make target ignition timing of the engine 12 retarded. The engine ECU is also configured to reboot the air conditioner 72 in response to non-detection of knocking after the target ignition timing is made retarded. The engine ECU is further configured to, when the target ignition timing is made retarded to the maximum by retardation, increase an engine speed of the engine 12 and initialize the target ignition timing.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
