To provide a safety cover for a drive shaft that can be increased in safety by being securely fitted to driving-side equipment or driven-side equipment in a rotation-disabled state, and the drive shaft with the safety cover.SOLUTION: A safety cover for a drive shaft is provided with an output shaft-side cover body 21 which is mounted on one end side of a drive shaft body 11 in a relatively rotatable state, and covers an output shaft-side coupling part 12; an input shaft-side cover body 22 which is mounted on the other end side of the drive shaft body 11 in a relatively rotatable state, and covers an input shaft-side coupling part 13; a cylindrical body part cover body 23 which has one end coupled to the output shaft-side cover body 21 and the other end coupled to the input shaft-side cover body 22, and also covers the drive shaft body 11; an output shaft-side cover lock body 24 which is fixed to driving-side equipment 2 and combined with the output shaft-side cover body 21 to lock the output shaft-side cover body 21 in a rotating direction; and an input shaft-side cover lock body 25 which is fixed to driven-side equipment 3 and combined with the input shaft-side cover body 22 to lock the input shaft-side cover body 22 in the rotating direction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
