To achieve a high impact absorption effect by a cowl cover by maintaining an engagement state of a cover body with a separated structure when a load is applied to the separated structure from outward, thereby allowing deformation or displacement of the separated structure.SOLUTION: The cowl cover comprises: a cover body 2 for covering a cowl part between a windshield and a vehicle body member; a separated structure (a lid) 6 mounted on the cover body 2 to be engageable. The cover body 2 includes a cover body side engagement part 12 and the separated structure (the lid) 6 includes a separated structure side engagement part (a lid side engagement part) 13 engaging with the cover body side engagement part 12. The cover body side engagement part 12 and the separated structure side engagement part (the lid side engagement part) 13 is constituted so that an engagement amount can be increased when a load is applied from outward.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4

    【課題】外方から荷重が別体構造物に加わった際にカバー本体部と別体構造物との係合状態を維持して別体構造物の変形や変位を許容することにより、カウルカバーによる衝撃吸収効果を向上させる。【解決手段】カウルカバーは、ウインドシールドと車体部材との間のカウル部を覆うカバー本体部2と、カバー本体部2に係脱可能に取り付けられる別体構造物(蓋体)6と、を備える。カバー本体部2は、カバー本体部側係合部12を有し、別体構造物(蓋体)6は、カバー本体部側係合部12と係合する別体構造物側係合部(蓋体側係合部)13を有する。カバー本体部側係合部12及び別体構造物側係合部(蓋体側係合部)13は、外方から荷重が加わった際に、係合量を増加可能に構成される。【選択図】図4
