To provide a control device for electric motor capable of preventing generation of overshoot while enhancing the control response performance.SOLUTION: The control device comprises: a state feedback control block 51 configured to feed back the state quantity of an electric motor to a control command value; a disturbance estimation block 52 configured to estimate disturbance of electric motor; and a disturbance suppression block 53 configured to generate a disturbance suppression signal on the basis of output from the disturbance estimation block 52. When a disturbance is generated, the disturbance suppression signal Ds is reflected to a control command value τ* so that the control amount of the electric motor coincides with the control command value. With this, overshoot is prevented from being generated while the control response performance is enhanced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
