To provide a shift lever unit which is compact and has a light weight.SOLUTION: A shift lever unit 1 in which a specified shifting operation is regulated in such a manner that a grouped pin 18 is pressed against a step 325 provided on a detent window 32 from a rotation direction, and on the other hand, the specified shifting operation is permitted in such a manner that it is possible to get over the step 325 by displacement of the grouped pin 18 by a release operation. This shift lever unit has an energization structure which energizes the grouped pin 18 in a direction opposite to a direction of displacement of the grouped pin 18 by the release operation, based on a contact load which is applied to the step 325 by the grouped pin 18.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
