To detect whether an occupant can properly perform driving operate or not.SOLUTION: A steering wheel 12 has lamps 30A to 30D and sensors 32A to 32D incorporated in a rim 14. When requesting an occupant for a determination task, an operation detection device lights the lamps 30A and 30C so that the sensors 32A and 32C can detect whether the occupant has held the lamps 30A and 30C of the rim 14. By detecting whether the determination task has finished within a predetermined period of time, the operation detection device determines whether the occupant is in a condition enabling a proper driving operation. Accordingly, if the occupant is in the condition enabling the proper driving operation, the fact that the occupant is in the condition enabling the proper driving operation is detected.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】乗員が適正に運転操作できる状態であるか否かを検出する。【解決手段】ステアリングホイール12には、リム部14にランプ部30A〜30D、及びセンサ32A〜32Dが取付けられており、操作検出装置は、乗員に判定タスクを要求する際に、ランプ部30A、30Cを点灯させて、リム部14のランプ部30A、30C部分を乗員が把持したか否かを、センサ32A、32Cによって検出する。また、操作検出装置は、所定時間内に判定タスクが終了したか否かから、乗員が適正な運転操作の可能な状態であるか否かを判定する。これにより、乗員が適正な運転操作が可能な状態であれば、乗員が適正な運転操作が可能な状態であることが検出される。【選択図】図1
