To provide an air conditioner and an air conditioner for railroad vehicle that can suppress a beating sound imparting unpleasantness from being generated and also suppressing respective compressors from differing in air conditioning capability.SOLUTION: An air conditioner 100 comprises: compressors 1a, 1b which compress and discharge a refrigerant; induction motors 8a, 8b which are provided for the compressors 1a, 1b respectively; a controller 11 which derives a frequency of an AC voltage applied to the induction motors 8a, 8b as a drive frequency; inverters 10a, 10b which convert the frequency of a supply power source into the drive frequency and output it to the induction motors 8a, 8b; acceleration sensors 5a, 5b; and determination means which determines whether a difference in rotating speed between the induction motors 8a, 8b is within a range in which a beating sound of predetermined frequency is generated. The controller 11 corrects, when it is determined that the difference in rotating speed between the induction motors 8a, 8b is within the range, the drive frequency so that the difference in rotating speed between the induction motors 8a, 8b is less than a lower-limit value of the range.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】 不快感を与えるうなり音の発生を抑制するとともに各圧縮機の空調能力に差が生じることを抑制することができる空気調和装置および鉄道車両用空気調和装置を提供する。【解決手段】 空気調和装置100は、冷媒を圧縮して吐出する圧縮機1a,1bと、圧縮機1a,1bにそれぞれ設けられる誘導電動機8a,8bと、誘導電動機8a,8bに印加する交流電圧の周波数を駆動周波数として導出する制御装置11と、供給電源の周波数を駆動周波数に変換し誘導電動機8a,8bに出力するインバータ10a,10bと、加速度センサ5a,5bと、誘導電動機8a,8bの回転速度の差が、予め定めた周波数のうなり音が発生する範囲にあるか否かを判断する判断手段を備え、制御装置11は、誘導電動機8a,8bの回転速度の差が当該範囲にあると判断されると、誘導電動機8a,8bの回転速度の差が前記範囲の下限値未満となるように、駆動周波数を補正する。【選択図】図1
