To provide a motor control device capable of performing protection of a motor opening switch that is compactly configured by a semiconductor switching element, with certainty and with high reliability.SOLUTION: A motor control device comprises: a controller 120 that detects presence or absence of abnormalities; a motor rotation number detector 132; an energy calculation unit 121; a determination unit 122; a state detector 125 that detects presence or absence of abnormalities; and a thermistor 141 that electrically detects a temperature of an FET. When no abnormality is detected, inverter control is turned on, and when abnormalities are detected, the inverter control is turned off. An accurate safe operation region is calculated on the basis of temperature information. In a region other than the safe operation region, a timer 122A is reset, and within the safe operation region, the timer 122A is counted up. Since a time when the motor rotation number is reduced to a threshold or less after the inverter is turned off, a time period being within the safe operation region is measured by the timer 122A.     【課題】半導体スイッチング素子で小型に構成されたモータ開放スイッチの保護を、確実に信頼性高く行うことができるモータ制御装置を提供する。【解決手段】異常の有無を検出する制御部120と、モータ回転数検出部132と、エネルギー演算部121と、判定部122と、異常の有無を検出する状態検出部125と、FETの温度を電気的に検出するサーミスタ141とを具備し、異常を検出していないときにインバータ制御をONし、異常を検出したときにインバータ制御をOFFし、温度情報に基づいて正確な安全動作領域を演算し、安全動作領域外になったとき、タイマー122Aをリセットし、安全動作領域内になったとき、タイマー122Aをアップし、インバータOFF後、モータ回転数が閾値以下に低下した以降、タイマー122Aにより安全動作領域内にある時間を計測し、安全動作領域内にある時間が所定時間継続したときにFETをOFFする。【選択図】図6
