To provide an amphibious vehicle that can improve reliability by suppressing damage to a flap and a support column.SOLUTION: An amphibious vehicle 100 comprises: a vehicle body; a flap 2 supported on a lower part of the vehicle body 1 in an advancing direction so as to be swingable in a direction in which an upper edge part thereof approaches or is separated from the vehicle body 1; a support column 3 which has a fluid actuator that can be extended/contracted according to pressure of actuating fluid into a cylinder chamber, whose first end at least in a lengthwise direction is connected to the flap 2, and which performs adjustment of a swing angle of the flap 2 by telescopic motion of the fluid actuator; a power source 90 that supplies an actuating fluid to the cylinder chamber; and a safety valve 5 that is made to communicate with the cylinder chamber and opens to enable the actuating fluid in the cylinder to be discharged when internal pressure in the cylinder chamber becomes higher than predetermined pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
