To provide a load drive unit for making element pressure resistance possess a margin without largely setting a control threshold at regeneration larger than a boost control threshold of a boost motion.SOLUTION: A load drive unit 3 drives a first load 1 and a second load 2 according to signals S1, S2 from a microcomputer. The load drive unit comprises a control part 4, a boost circuit 5 and a drive part 6. The first load 1 is operated by a voltage from a power supply terminal VB after being operated by an output voltage VH of the boost circuit 5. The second load 2 is operated by a voltage from the power supply terminal VB. The drive part 4 detects an off-edge of the second load 2 in an off-state of the first load 1, and collects a current Ix of the regeneration of the second load 2 to the power supply terminal VB side via a MOSFET 54. At this time, since a regeneration stop is set at an upper limit value Vtha of a threshold voltage of the boost circuit 5, a pressure resistance margin of an element is not reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1

    【課題】回生時の制御閾値を昇圧動作の昇圧制御閾値よりも大きく設定することなく、素子耐圧に対する余裕を持たせることができるようにした負荷駆動装置を提供する。【解決手段】負荷駆動装置3は、マイコンからの信号S1、S2に応じて、第1負荷1、第2負荷2を駆動する。制御部4、昇圧回路5、駆動部6を備える。第1負荷1は、昇圧回路5の出力電圧VHにより動作させた後、電源端子VBからの電圧で動作させる。第2負荷2は電源端子VBからの電圧で動作させる。駆動部4は、第1負荷1のオフ状態で且つ第2負荷2のオフエッジを検出し、第2負荷2の回生の電流IxをMOSFET54を介して電源端子VB側に回収する。このとき、回生停止は昇圧回路5の閾値電圧の上限値Vthaとしているので、素子の耐圧余裕を小さくすることがない。【選択図】図1
