To provide a distance measuring device with which it is possible to make measurement with high accuracy irrespective of road surface conditions.SOLUTION: A distance measuring device 100 comprises: a control unit 1 for determining a detection condition for an obstacle 91 on a road 92; a TOF sensor unit 3 for oscillating an oscillatory wave and receiving the reflected wave of the oscillated oscillatory wave and thereby acquiring distance information; a vehicle-side communication unit 2 for communicating with the outside and acquiring road surface information; and a vehicle-side storage unit 4 in which detection related information for identifying the obstacle 91 is stored on the basis of the distance information. The control unit 1 compares the detection related information read out from the vehicle-side storage unit 4 with the distance information and road surface information acquired from the TOF sensor unit 3 and the vehicle-side communication unit 2 and determines a detection condition.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
