To provide a vehicular brake apparatus with which an electric brake device brakes a rear wheel, with a hydraulic pressure control means shutting off supply of hydraulic pressure to a rear wheel hydraulic brake device, in the case of braking where a quick response is required, thus braking with higher-than-usual hydraulic pressure applied to a front wheel hydraulic brake device.SOLUTION: In the case of braking where a quick response is required, an ECU 50 causes: an electric brake device 30 to activate an electric wheel brake 30 of rear wheels 10RL, 10RR and causes a hydraulic brake device 20 to shut off supplying of hydraulic pressure to a hydraulic brake 26 of the rear wheels 10RL, 10RR and causes a hydraulic brake 24 of front wheels 10FL, 10FR to apply higher-than-normal hydraulic pressure.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】即応性が要求される制動時は、電動式ブレーキ装置が後輪を制動するとともに、液圧制御手段が後輪の液圧式ブレーキ装置の液圧供給を遮断し、前輪の液圧式ブレーキ装置に通常よりも大きい液圧をかけて制動する車両用制動装置を提供することである。【解決手段】ECU50は、即応性が要求される制動時は、電動式ブレーキ装置30に、後輪10RL、10RRの電動式の車輪制動器30を作動させ、液圧式ブレーキ装置20に、後輪10RL、10RRの液圧式の車輪制動器26への液圧供給を遮断させ、前輪10FL、10FRの液圧式の車輪制動器24に、通常の制動時よりも大きい液圧を供給させる。【選択図】図2
