To suppress vibration of a control object with an inexpensive configuration and with a high accuracy without requirement for an inertia sensor such as an acceleration sensor.SOLUTION: An active vibration control device comprises: a wheel 41 which is supported on a base 45, which is attached to a control object, through an elastic body; an electromagnetic actuator 43 which adjusts a space between the base 45 and the wheel 41; and a controller 63 which detects an electric signal which is generated in the electromagnetic actuator 43 due to variation in a travel surface which the wheel 41 receives during travel, estimates movement of the control object from the electric signal, and drives the electromagnetic actuator 43 in a direction controlling movement of the control object based on the estimated result.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
