To provide a vehicular power transmission device that can improve power transmission efficiency by rotating a parking gear if necessary to lubricate respective parts and by stopping rotation of the parking gear if unnecessary to suppress the stirring resistance of lubrication oil small.SOLUTION: A vehicular power transmission device 1 transmits power outputted from an electric motor (driving source) 2 to right and left axles 4R, 4L through planetary gear mechanisms PG1, PG2 and a differential device D, in which a parking gear 12 is provided in a carrier c2 of the planetary gear mechanism PG2. The parking gear 12 is supported on the carrier c2 in a relatively-rotatable manner, and a dog clutch (contact/separation mechanism) 14 for bringing the parking gear 12 into contact with and separation from the carrier c2 is provided.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】必要な場合にはパーキングギヤを回転させて各部を潤滑し、不要な場合にはパーキングギヤの回転を停止して潤滑油の攪拌抵抗を小さく抑えることによって動力伝達効率を高めることができる車両用動力伝達装置を提供すること。【解決手段】電動機(駆動源)2から出力される動力を遊星ギヤ機構PG1,PG2とディファレンシャル装置Dを経て左右の車軸4L,4Rへと伝達する装置であって、前記遊星ギヤ機構PG2のキャリヤc2にパーキングギヤ12を設けた車両用動力伝達装置1において、前記パーキングギヤ12を前記キャリヤc2に相対回転可能に支持するとともに、該パーキングギヤ12を前記キャリヤc2に対して接離させるドグクラッチ(接離機構)14を設ける。【選択図】図2
