To provide a camera optical axis inspection method that can reduce the manufacturing cost, management cost, and installation space of a target for inspection of an optical axis deviation of a camera mounted on a vehicle and a camera optical axis inspection line.SOLUTION: Inspection targets 91 to 93 for inspecting an optical axis shift of cameras 51 to 53 are formed by projecting onto a screen outside a vehicle 12, such that the inspection targets 91 to 93 that are not limited in position, shape and size can be formed by projected images 81 to 83. Since the projected images 81 to 83 are inspection targets 91 to 93 having no physical shape, it is possible to reduce manufacturing costs, management costs, and installation space.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
