To provide a technique with which it is possible to appropriately indicate to a pedestrian in which direction it would be better to start walking.SOLUTION: Provided is a route guidance program for causing a computer (10) to execute: position acquisition means (112) for acquiring a current location of the computer; imaging means (113) for imaging a peripheral image including a direction in which an imaging device included with the computer faces; direction detection means (114) for detecting a first direction that is a direction in which the imaging device faces on a horizontal plane; route acquisition means (111) for acquiring a guidance route on a map from a starting point to a destination; determination means (115) for determining that a direction in which there exists a point reached by moving forward a prescribed distance from a point, as a point of reference, that indicates the current location on the guidance route in accordance with the guidance route is a second direction that the user utilizing the computer should go forward; and display means (116) for displaying an object, as a virtual object, that indicates the second direction by superimposition on the peripheral image imaged by the imaging means.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
