To provide a track identification apparatus which can accurately detect a track branch from an imaging picture when there is a branch in the traveling track.SOLUTION: A track identification apparatus 10 comprises a picture acquisition part 10a, a track detecting part 10c, a track branch detecting part 10d and a track detection result outputting part. The picture acquisition part acquires an imaged picture which is acquired through imaging an area in a direction of a railway vehicle traveling. The track detecting part detects a track based on an amount of features which can be composed of track-like parts on the basis of subscribed criteria per plural pixel group in the imaged picture. The track branch detecting part detects whether there is a track branch in the detected track or not. The track detection result outputting part outputs a detection result of the track detecting part and a detection result of the track branch detecting part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2

    【課題】走行中の線路に分岐が存在する場合、撮像画像から分岐線路を精度よく検出することが可能な軌道識別装置を提供する。【解決手段】軌道識別装置10は、画像取得部10aと、線路検出部10cと、分岐線路検出部10dと、線路検出結果出力部と、を備える。画像取得部は、鉄道車両の進行方向の領域を撮像することで得られる撮像画像を取得する。線路検出部は、撮像画像における複数の画素群ごとに、所定の基準に基づく線路らしさを表す尺度となり得る特徴量に基づき、線路を検出する。分岐線路検出部は、検出された線路に対して、分岐線路が存在するか否かを検出する。線路検出結果出力部は、線路検出部の検出結果と分岐検出部の検出結果を出力する。【選択図】図2
